Born and raised in the Midwest, Kelly grew up in the home of a relentless minimalist, enjoying the simple pleasures of life.

Her Dutch descent has contributed to her personal design ethos that a home should be a cozy place filled with simple and beautiful treasures that enhance a person’s day-to-day life and heighten their pleasure at every turn.  Here at Dune & Moon, we firmly believe that the most beautiful homes need not be grande and opulent, but should be organized to work in harmony with its dwellers.

An East Coast transplant since her early 20s, she built a successful career in corporate public relations before leaving to attend interior design school after her second child was born, formally studying her passion of creating interiors that are both beautiful but just work. She finds a deep, satisfying joy in taming the chaos for her clients, contributing to a simpler and more organized day-to-day existence.

When she’s not working, you can find her in the garden, enjoying time with her family, managing the day-to-day tasks of her own home, reading, organizing her own closets or traveling the world in search of flowers in bloom. She resides in Darien, Connecticut with her husband, three children and faithful furry companion, Winston.
